The World's Largest Sodium-ion BESS Put Into Operation!

#DowellCase A 100 MW / 200 MWh sodium-Ion innovative energy storage facility demonstration project for science and technology innovation phase one construction successfully completed and launched into operation. Initial commissioning capacity: 50 MW/100 MWh.

Following its deployment, the energy storage station is capable of executing in excess of 300 charge and discharge cycles per annum. With a single charge, it can retain 100MWh of electrical energy. In times of peak demand on the power grid, the discharged power is sufficient to meet the daily electricity requirements of roughly 12,000 residential units. The project is aimed to mitigate carbon dioxide emissions by 13,000 metric tons annually, thereby demonstrating substantial economic advantages alongside notable societal benefits.
