In the background of global decarbonization, whether growing distributed clean energy sites, large corporations looking to reduce high energy bills, or grid operators with a need for peak shaving services, all are looking for the perfect solution for large-scale energy storage projects. In response, Dowell has specially developed the container energy storage system–IHouse, to provide stable and reliable engineering-grade power to large C&I customers. IHouse divides into three series according to the rated power: IHouse-A series for 150kW, IHouse-B series for 250kW, and IHouse-C series for 500kW.
IHouse provides a turnkey solution that integrates battery pack, PCS system, BMS system, air conditioning system, fire fighting system, monitoring system, etc. The built-in EMS will remotely monitor the operation status and data of the system and intelligently control and coordinate all modules. With the unified operation strategy, each module can quickly respond to EMS commands, reducing the cost of losses in the energy conversion process and improving the charging and discharging efficiency of the PCS.
Modular and scalable
The modular design is highly scalable and provides several configuration options for users to choose from, and they can freely combine and replace modules for customization. Modules can be configured from 150kWh in iHouse-A150 up to 2mWh in iHouse-C2000, from lead-acid batteries to LFP batteries. Everything is all housed in 10-foot, 20-foot, or 40-foot modular containers. The containerized design is easy to transport and install, with no excessive site requirements. Customers don’t need to spend too much time and effort on installation and commissioning, and operation, and can be quickly deployed in major projects.
Long battery life and high security
Battery life has a direct impact on investment return. Depending on the battery combination, the IHouse has an expected cycle life of 4,000 to 5,000 cycles. The BMS monitors current, voltage, and other data in real-time, and it will disconnect the battery pack as soon as an abnormality is detected. The IP54 protecting grade can withstand the rigors of various environments. The HVAC maintains the battery operating temperature at 15°C to 35°C, thus avoiding any loss of efficiency due to battery overheating. In addition, the firefighting system is always on standby, aiming to nip all fire hazards in the bud.
